Qinhuangdao Oilport boasts excellent overland traffic condition.
It enjoys convenient railway, road and pipeline transportation and
keeps close overland ties with North China and Northeast China.
The railway constructed by Qinhuangdao Port itself connects with
main national railways, forming a pattern of Four Railways (e.g.
Beijing-Shanhaiguan Railway, Shenyang-Shanhaiguan Railway, Beijing-Qinhuangdao
Railway and Daqing-Qinhuangdao Railway) Connecting One Port. The
liquid petrochemical products from North China and Northeast China
can be carried to Qinhuangdao Oilport by railway. Daqing-Qinhuangdao
Railway provides easy transportation access to Qinhuangdao Oilport
for the liquid petrochemical products from areas in Northwest China,
such as Inner Mongolia and Ningxia Autonomous Region.
The oil pipeline from Daqing to Qinhuangdao, so called the First
Main Underground Artery of China, directly extends to the dock of
Qinhuangdao Oilport. It runs 984km and has an annual carrying capacity
of 20 million tons of oil. The crude pipelines inside the port extend
as long as 4524m in total, with a diameter of 630mm and an annual
carrying capacity of 15 million tons of oil.
Qinhuangdao enjoys convenient road traffic as being connected by
three main roads, e.g. No. 102 National Highway, No. 205 National
Highway and Beijing-Harbin Highway, which link South China with
North China. A network of rationally distributed roads has already
taken shape within the port, which creates superior condition for
linking with national highways and for clearing traffic channels.
